MASS DEMOCRATIC CIVIL MOVEMENT (MDCM) BACKGROUND INFORMATION


INTRODUCTION:
  • MDCM is a civil movement incorporated in 2020 in terms of NPC Act.
  • South Africa is a complex country with various interest groups competing to be heard and taken care of.
  • It is therefore the view of MDCM leadership that mobilizing various interest groups under one roof to decide the future is the best route to take as it is clear that no political party can do that.
  • MDCM organizes, mobilizes all the people of South Africa under one roof to plan and decide what is good for them as the people.
  • MDCM must from the beginning accept the principle of mentoring for it to be different from the rest.
  • MDCM must also accept from the beginning that all interest groups reflect the demographic realities on the ground and must be accommodated.
  • MDCM commits to nonracial, social, political and economic order with the role of law and constitution being supreme.
  • VISION:
  • To create one nation.
  • To inculcate the culture of self-reliance, financial independence, politically and economically informed and socially tolerant of others.
  • To rule by law.
  • MISSION:
  • Will re-engineer our society to lead in problem solving working as one nation.
  • Will together identify and solve problems affecting our nation in order of priority.
  • Will at all material times seek guidance from the law and our constitution.
  • MDCM PROJECTS:

    1.Self-help community projects.

    MDCM is involved in many self-help community projects such as reconstruction of playgrounds, swimming pools, technical skills training, etc. …

    2.MDCM health benefits.

    MDCM has developed health plans which make the community pay only for health benefits and get funeral free.

    3.MDCM podcast.

    MDCM has a podcast studio that it uses to conduct political and economic education for the public.

    4.MDCM business network.

    MDCM is a gateway for big business that wants to invest in the townships and rural areas and provides labour outside labour framework. Any business can access labour from MDCM on condition that that labour will be upskilled.

    FUNDING:
  • MDCM is an NPO and survives largely on donor funds, although MDCM also has products and services that it sells to the public.
  • MEMBERSHIP:
  • MDCM works with communities via reps.
  • The reps are always in touch with various wards and voting districts and help communities in overcoming their problems.
  • MDCM office provides resources that assist the reps to assist the communities.
  • MDCM with the help of reps identifies men and woman who have the knowledge, skills and good behavioral attributes to lead the community and take an administration position.
  • MDCM leaders and reps are not eligible to occupy administrative positions.
  • MDCM PARTNERS:
  • MDCM partners with all those who have the interest of the people at heart as long as they don’t bring a political rhetoric or ideology to the table.
  • MDCM also works closely with business big and small to advance the interest of all parties.
